Subnautica 2 Base Building Guide: Best Early and Late Game Locations and Blueprint Acquisition
Subnautica 2 base location selection, blueprint acquisition, hydroelectric turbine usage tips. Early game: build on flat ground near Escape Pod 105, use ocean currents for power. Late game: recommend Alien Ruins, abundant minerals and close to objectives. Detailed steps include construction gun, room blueprint, silver ore locations, etc.
Go to Camp One, first open the upper door to let water in, then enter from below. Scan the Scanner Station Blueprint to automatically unlock the Room Blueprint.
Mine silver ore in the cave next to Camp One; it is used to make oxygen tanks and power materials. After getting the Room Blueprint, return home to build a base and containers.
Build on flat ground near Escape Pod 105; there is a large ocean current nearby for hydroelectric power. Use solar power as a transition before unlocking hydroelectric turbines.
Key Points:
Location: direction of Escape Pod 105
Terrain: flat ground
Power: ocean current hydroelectric (can place 20 turbines)
Bring a portable locker. From the escape pod, go north 360 meters to the Old Habitat; scan the first hydroelectric blueprint next to the water flow. Then go to the platform where the 'Welcome Home' sign points to 75 direction; scan the second hydroelectric blueprint along with power transmission and interior wall.
Key Points:
Distance to Old Habitat: 360 meters north of escape pod
Number of hydroelectric blueprints: 2
Platform location: 'Welcome Home' sign pointing to 75 direction
Return home and build hydroelectric turbines. Note that the power transmission connection must use a circular base, otherwise it won't supply power. It can be connected to the roof or side.
It is recommended to build a second base next to the marked dwelling at the Alien Ruins. Reasons: close to late-game objectives (2400 meters from escape pod), abundant minerals (all ores except lithium), and availability of hydroelectric and thermal power.
When building at Alien Ruins, bring Sea Litchi and four Water Jellies. Initially, catch fish near the tower and quickly build a grow bed. Use the Sea Stars on the roof to grow fiber, make oily salad, or use fiber in the processor to produce water. You can also mass-breed Sea Litchi to solve food and water.
If you didn't bring any Dead Floater Jellyfish, you can use gold and sulfur instead to make acid. Gold and sulfur can be collected from the volcano beneath your feet.
